Texas Guardrail Injury LawyerThe defective Trinity ET-Plus guardrail system was installed along highways throughout the state of Texas. Unfortunately, the Texas Department of Transportation does not have any record as to where they are located or how many are in use.

Trinity Highway Products recently stopped shipping its guardrail system. According to ABC 12, this is in response to a federal court ruling in which the company “was found guilty of making a false or fraudulent claim concerning the eligibility of the ET-Plus.”

As a result of the lawsuit, the Texas Department of Transportation will now begin to track all accidents involving guardrails.

According to the man who brought the lawsuit against Trinity, a previous version of the guardrail system worked as intended. However, the company made a change along the way without notifying the government.

Even with Trinity being required by the Federal Highway Administration to perform additional testing on the guardrail system, many states are beginning to consider their options for replacement.
